The NHL Draft Lottery is a weighted system to determine the order of selection for the first 14 picks of the 2015NHL Draft. Teams finishing with the fewest points during the regular season possess the greatest chance of winning the right to the first pick in the NHL Draft.

Winner 2026:

The Buffalo Sabres won the 2026 NHL Draft Lottery, and the right to select the first overall pick. As far as where the second draft lotterychoice went, the Seattle Kraken drew the No. 2 choice. In 2018, the Sabres won the NHL Draft Lottery, and ended up selecting Rasmus Dahlin.
